The First Omen will cover the birth of Damian from The Omen, and the trailer will feature a major edit. It’s common for horror films to build their own franchise, and The Omen was the latest addition to this trend.
The Omen franchise is now set to deal with the events leading up to the 1976 film through a prequel. Arkansha Stevenson will direct the film, titled The First Omen, and will examine the origins of Damien, who was revealed to be the Antichrist in the original film.
The film stars Margaret Daino, an American woman who goes to Rome to work in an orphanage. Margaret meets Carlita Sciana, a girl who has lived there for a long time. Margaret starts giving her more attention.
However, she soon sees strange things happening around her and learns that there is a plot to birth the Antichrist. The first omen is expected to answer questions regarding the birth of Damien and his mother.

Richard Donner’s original film, The Omen, had multiple suggestions regarding Damian’s origins. The First Omen is set up to address the more bizarre parts of the narrative.
In the original film, Robert Thorne adopts Damian after Thorne’s biological child dies at birth. To keep the secret from his wife, Cathy, Robert listens to Father Spiletto’s advice. He agrees to adopt an orphan whose birth coincided with the death of his child and whose mother also died during childbirth.
Robert thought the child had no living family, but when he realized Damien was no ordinary child, he investigated further. He discovered the grave of Maria Ciana, who was Damian’s supposed mother. However, when they dug the grave, they found only a jackal inside.
Jennings was already aware of a biblical verse about the Antichrist being born by a jackal, and this confirmed his theories. However, The First Omen depicts Damian’s mother as a nun, not a jackal.
The existence of the jackal was never properly explained in the movie, so the change wouldn’t make things less believable. Changing the creators and introducing a human as Damian’s mother is a major setback for the franchise.
